Walls - series 1 - Oil on canvas

I have been shooting walls from as far back as when I was 10 when I took a shot of a drainpipe against this flaky wall, but it wasn’t until recently after a trip to Venice that I realised how much it had become a core central theme I was attracted too.

The wall representing abstract boundaries - changing over time in colour and texture, something only nature’s patina could achieve. A fragile or strongbarrier to all that life throws at us.
